Poor Judgment

My publisher called this essay “brave.” It did take me 50 years to be willing to write about this experience. Every woman has been Jane Doe, at one time or another. While it may trigger more shame for me, I hope it helps victims realize they don’t have to take accusations lying down.

That’s why you have to continue to write about the hard stuff.
Just saw a FB reel about sexploitation of children/tweens and how the rate of suicide is rising. All for greed and easy money, it’s so sad.
Be brave, stay strong and know that we’ll STILL be fighting for equal rights for a while. But don’t give up, and don’t go back.

Thank you Pat. You provoke emotions that are healthy. You remind we people of a certain generation that being kind is not ok if that allows others to step on you because of your “kindness”. Your bravery inspires others to self respect enough to be brave. Decent people were more abundant in my youth. How have we gotten here?

    Sigh
